Is there any coding or programming involved?

None at all. This programme focuses on learning design and content creation, not technical development. If you can use a computer and learn new software, you have everything you need.

Do I need any previous experience in L&D or training?

No. This programme is designed for people entering the field. If you have a degree that developed your thinking skills - Psychology, Business, Economics, Sociology, Humanities, or similar - you already have a strong foundation. We teach you the rest.

How is the programme delivered?

It's a blend of approaches designed to fit around your life. You'll work through self-paced learning content in a variety of formats, complete assessment quizzes and practical tasks, and attend live seminars and lectures. All live sessions are recorded, so you can catch up if you miss one.

Will I actually create things, or is it mostly reading and theory?

You'll create. The programme includes hands-on projects where you build e-learning content, training materials, and portfolio pieces using industry tools. Theory supports what you make - it doesn't replace it.

What kind of jobs can I apply for after this?

Learning Designer. Instructional Designer. E-learning Developer. Training Content Developer. Digital Learning Specialist. These roles exist across every sector - corporate, public sector, charity, and freelance.

What equipment do I need?

You'll need a laptop or computer with a stable internet connection, plus a webcam and microphone for the live sessions. A quiet space where you can focus for 90 minutes is also helpful. All the AI tools we use are free and browser-based—no special software needed.

Is the BCS accreditation recognised by employers?

Yes. BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, is an established professional body in the UK. Their accreditation signals that the programme meets rigorous standards and that you've developed verified professional capability.

How long does it take to complete?

The course consists of 30 hours of tuition alongside which you will need to spend time building content for assessment activities.

Can I do this alongside my current job?

Yes. The programme is online and flexible. It's designed for people who are working, job hunting, or managing other commitments. You don't need to quit anything to do this.

What if I'm not technical?

You don't need to be. If you can use a computer, write a document, and learn new software, you have everything you need. The authoring tools we cover are designed to be accessible - no coding or advanced technical skills required.

What is your refund policy?

You have the right to cancel within 14 days of booking for a full refund, no questions asked. However, if the course starts within this 14-day period and you've given consent to begin, your cancellation right ends once the first live session takes place. After the course has started, refunds are not available—but we'll provide session recordings where possible if you miss a class. To cancel, simply email us at hello@digitaleducation.org.uk before the course begins.

Will I need a Windows Computer?

You'll need a Windows computer or a Mac that can run Windows. A Chromebook will work for most of the course, but some important modules require Windows software, so you'll need access to a Windows device to complete those.

Do I need to buy any software?

No. All the software used in the programme offers trial periods, and we've structured the course so you can complete everything using these trials. There are no additional software costs.

How do I get support if I'm stuck?

Instructors are accessible via email throughout the programme. There's also a weekly group drop-in session where you and other learners can ask questions, talk through challenges, and get guidance in real time.
