Frequently asked questions

"Is my child ready for this?"

If they're aged 14-17 with basic digital literacy (can use a computer, browse the web), they're ready. No prior AI knowledge needed.

"What day and time are the sessions?"

Every Wednesday at 7pm, starting 7th January 2026, for 6 consecutive weeks. Sessions run approximately 90 minutes, with some independent portfolio work between sessions.

"What if they miss a session?"

We record all live sessions, and your child can catch up with tutor support.

What equipment do I need?

You'll need a laptop or computer with a stable internet connection, plus a webcam and microphone for the live sessions. A quiet space where you can focus for 90 minutes is also helpful. All the AI tools we use are free and browser-based—no special software needed.

"How is it assessed?"

Through a portfolio of evidence—no high-pressure exams. They'll build this throughout the course with guidance.

"Is this just for kids interested in tech careers?"

Not at all. AI affects every industry—healthcare, law, creative arts, business. Understanding it is becoming as essential as basic computer skills were 20 years ago.

"What do they get at the end?"

An official certificate for the SAIGE Level 2 Award in Understanding AI—a nationally recognised, Ofqual-regulated qualification.

"What if someone is 18+. Can they join?"

This January cohort is designed for 14-17 year olds. We're launching an 18+ cohort shortly—join the waitlist here and we'll notify you as soon as booking opens.

What is your refund policy?

You have the right to cancel within 14 days of booking for a full refund, no questions asked. However, if the course starts within this 14-day period and you've given consent to begin, your cancellation right ends once the first live session takes place. After the course has started, refunds are not available—but we'll provide session recordings where possible if you miss a class. To cancel, simply email us at hello@digitaleducation.org.uk before the course begins.
